Maine State Police have released the identity of the man suspected of a double homicide in a Biddeford apartment. They say the shootings were drug related.

Russell Lavoie, age 42 of Old Orchard Beach and Jeffrey Lude, 37 of Biddeford were shot and killed inside the house on July 6th. Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland said in a press release today that the two men took a rubber mallet to the apartment with the intention of beating a man and stealing his drugs.

That man, Fuquan Prince Wilson, age 34 from the Bronx, New York has been identified by police as the shooter. Fuquan goes by the street name 'P' and has a long criminal history in New York of mostly drug charges. He's described a 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 170 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. He also has a tattoo on his neck that says 'Ruthy.'

An arrest warrant has been issued for Wilson, charging him with possession of a firearm by a felon however police say it's unlikely that he's still in Maine. McCausland says detectives haven't made any final decisions on what charges will be filed but says they may consider self-defense as having played a role in the shootings.

In addition to the two victims and Wilson, there were four other people in the apartment at the time of the shootings, including the man who rents the apartment, 55-year-old Donald Corkran. They have all, except for Wilson, been interviewed. Police continue to investigate.
