The State Fire Marshal's office says they believe an elderly Saco man intentionally set his mobile home on fire, causing his own death.

Investigators say gasoline was doused both inside and outside the mobile home and the fire was intentionally set. It's believed the body pulled from the rubble was that of resident Stephen Laughton, age 71. An autopsy by the State Medical Examiner's office will make a positive ID.

Officials say it was arson and no one else was involved. Several propane tanks were found inside the mobile home that investigators say may have also been set off by the fire. Neighbors reported something like an earthquake, followed by a series of popping sounds.
