A new poll published in the Portland Press Herald suggests that Question 1 may pass this fall.

On November 8th, several statewide referendum questions will appear on Maine ballots. The first question asks voters if they favor the legalization and recreational use of marijuana by residents over 21.

In the new poll, 505 Mainers were asked if they favored legalizing, regulating and taxing the drug. Support for the referendum was strongest in southern and coastal regions of the state.
