New Hampshire Concert Venue Could Win A CMA Award This Month

A New Hampshire venue could score a CMA this month. It's up against some stiff competition, including the home of the Grand Ole Opry.

This month the 2018 CMA Touring Awards will be handed out. The CMA Touring Awards are based on the country touring industry, and the many people behind the scenes that keep tours rolling. Among the nominees for Venue of the Year is the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion in Gilford, New Hampshire.

The venue attracts major tours every summer. Major country artists including Luke Bryan and the Zac Brown Band regularly settle in for multiple nights at the venue.

Other nominees include Alabama Theatre, Ascend Amphitheater, Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre and the Ryman Auditorium.

The CMA Touring Awards will be announced on Monday, January 28.

Bangor's Darling's Waterfront Pavilion was twice nominated for a similar award in 2014 and 2016. The venue was twice nominated for an ACM Award for Large Capacity Venue of the Year.
