It was an action packed weekend in Bangor. Perfect rides on championship Sunday was what rider Michael Lane needed, and delivered.

Professional Bull Riders returned to the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor over the weekend. The three-night Bangor Classic was the first fan attended PBR event since the COVID-19 pandemic took in-person events off the road for over 16 months. Coincidentally, the 2020 Bangor Classic was the last big in-person event in Bangor before concerts, festivals and fairs were scrapped for over a year.

Victorious in the end was PBR's Michael Lane of Tazwell, Virginia. Lane went 0-2 Friday and Saturday, and needed perfect rides Sunday to make anything of the weekend. Round 3 Sunday had the rider taking on bucking bull "Makavelli" for a full 8-second ride. The 83.5 point ride cracked Lane into the top 5 for the championship round. After another incredible ride on "Pneu-Dart's Coal Miner," good for a 89.5 point ride, Lane secured his second win on the Velocity Tour. Lane's win scored the rider 39 world points and a $7,668.38 check.
