I have traveled a bit in my day, and one of the most memorable places I have been is Times Square in New York City. Yeah, the neon lights at night are impressive, and the businesses, monuments and a few other things are amazing but what really makes Times Square, Times Square is the people that frequent it. It's almost circus-like at times.

Even the crime--when it happens--is always a spectacle. I was standing at an intersection one time when a cop suddenly grabs a guy five feet from me and throws him to the ground and cuffs him. As the light changed for people to walk, no one really paid attention. Yep, that's Times Square.

Two guys, Michael Tapp and Bill Novak, produced a great video that really captures what the heartbeat of the world is all about. So if you are going to visit soon, at least you'll know what you're in for.
