A teen girl has died as the result of a car crash in Chester, which also sent another teen to the hospital.

Where Did the Crash Happen?

The Penobscot County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a single motor vehicle crash at approximately 10:15 Thursday morning. The crash that was reported to have two people injured was located in the area of 722 South Chester Road in Chester.

When members of Lincoln Ambulance and Fire Department arrived at the scene of the crash, they found two females who had serious injuries. They rendered aid, but one of the females was pronounced deceased at the scene. The other female was transported to the Penobscot Valley Hospital and was then taken to a hospital in Bangor via LifeFlight.

What Do We Know About the Crash Victims?

Few details have been released about the deceased female other than that she was 18 years old and was a local student. Her family and school have been notified, but officials say her name won't be released at this time to allow her family and school officials to make notifications and arrangements.
