Maine Police Search For Man Who Escaped From Psychiatric Treatment Facility

Police hope the public can help them locate a man who recently escaped from a psychiatric treatment facility.

Maurice Pelissier, 41, was recently committed to the treatment center against his will, the Westbrook Police Department said.

He was last seen on Andover Road around 9 a.m. Wednesday. Police say anyone who sees Pelissier should not approach him, as he is a danger to himself and possibly others.

Pelissier is 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighs 225 pounds and has hazel eyes and brown hair. He may be wearing a gray fleece coat, green cargo pants or brown shorts and flip-flops.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Westbrook police at 854-0644.
