Key Bank in Waterville Robbed [UPDATE]

Police responded to a bank robbery at the Key Bank branch on Kennedy Memorial Drive in Waterville this morning, and have a suspect in custody.

Centralmaine.com reports the robbery happened at around 11:00 this morning. Police quickly apprehended the allegedly armed suspect who had made his escape on a bicycle. The name of the suspect has not been released.

State Police are still looking for the suspect in a robbery last week in the town of South China. In that case, a man in a blue bandanna fled the Bar Harbor Bank and Trust with an undisclosed amount of cash. No arrests have been made in that case. There's no indication, at this point, however, that the robberies are linked.
