Folks who shopped at Harbor Freight Tools after April 8th, 2011 may be due a refund of up to 30% of their total purchases, thanks to a class action lawsuit.

Harbor Freight Tools, if you've never shopped there, offers everything from screwdrivers to generators, and everything in between, at often lower-than-normal prices. But according to a class action lawsuit, those prices are not always what they seem.

A judge approved a settlement in that lawsuit that accused Harbor Freight Tools of advertising 'sale' or 'compare at' prices on items that were, actually, never priced any higher. Because of that ruling, customers are now due refunds for a percentage of their purchases.

The best case scenario for claiming a refund would be itemized receipts, either from the store or credit card receipts. But, even if you don't have a receipt, you may be able to claim a refund for a lesser amount. Get more information about the lawsuit and how to go about filing a claim at the class action website.
