Female Student Defines the Plight of Being A Woman – Powerful [VIDEO]

Women, if you never watch any of the videos that I share on this website, watch this one. It's the most amazing performance I've ever watched. Old people are fond of the saying 'Getting old is not for the faint of heart." Well, this young student will explain that neither is being a woman, at any age.

This video touched me on a very personal level. I grew up as the youngest child in my family with two older brothers. I saw firsthand the differences in the way society perceived us and the differences in the way we grew up.

I come from a long line of very strong women and I'm proud of that. But I also come from a long line of women who spent their entire lives taking care of the men in their lives, as well as the children. My grandmother would spend an entire meal jumping up from the table to fetch whatever anyone needed. And her rail thin figure demonstrated that she rarely ate much at all. My father, as a matter of fact, would often insist that she SIT and EAT, and he would get what was needed.

It wasn't their fault that they spent so much time focusing on everyone except themselves. It was the way society worked. And in many ways, it still does. I hope you'll watch the video. I can almost guarantee that you'll never forget it!
