I remember working for a local television station twenty some odd years ago, and someone had the brilliant idea of reporting more good news rather than the terrible news that seems to draw viewers. Well, the good news segments didn't do so well. Needless to say, TV viewers need for blood, gore, guts, and misery was and still is insatiable.

When I caught Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show segment, 'I've Got Good News, and I've Got Good News', with real anchors reporting fake good news, I just had to laugh. I bet you will too.
