A group called 'Caleb's Crusaders' will host a dinner and auction Saturday night in Trenton to benefit a local teen who's in need of a liver transplant.

His name is Caleb Gibson, he's 17-years-old, and he has cystic fibrosis. His friends say he's a high school senior and a great kid. According to the COTA for Caleb website, about 4% of cystic fibrosis patients have CF related liver disease and Caleb is one. He was just put on a transplant list, and his family and friends are raising money so, when the call comes in, they'll be ready to go.

On Saturday, a delicious dinner will be prepared by Chef Alex Grant at Big Cat's Catering in Ellsworth. The menu will include Fall Off the Bone Baby Back Ribs with Signature Smoky BBQ Sauce, 24-hour Slow Smoked Pulled Pork with Apple BBQ Sauce, Brined Chicken with Cilantro Lime Pineapple BBQ Sauce, BBQ Baked Beans with Pulled Pork, Country Coleslaw, 5-Cheese Country Mac and Cheese, and Southern Style Green Beans With a Smoked Ham Sauce. Hungry yet? (I am!)

You can dance to the awesome music of the Crown Vics. And there will be raffles and a silent auction, with items up for bid to include jewelry, restaurant certificates, photography packages, handmade items, tools, artwork, lobster, and a lot more!

The dinner and auction will be held on Saturday from 6 to 11 p.m. at Big Cat's Catering and Event Center, 12 American Way in Trenton. For more information or to purchase the $30 tickets, log onto the event's website.

If you can't make the fundraiser, but would like to help out Caleb and his family, you can make a donation online, as well.
