To say Dierks Bentley has a generous heart is an understatement. After all, there aren't many country stars who would hand a guitar over to a 6-year-old kid during a live concert ... but Bentley did just that.

It happened Monday evening (Sept. 1) in Chicago, where Bentley was opening for Luke Bryan at Soldier Field. A lucky little boy named Henry was perched above the crowd on someone's shoulders, enjoying the show, when all of a sudden, Bentley walked over, handed him a bright red electric guitar and reached his fist out for a pound.

"Last night this little dude got @brianlayson's guitar!" Bentley shared on social media. The singer's guitarist even chimed in, saying, "Was a cool moment ... rock on little dude!"

Even more special, it was apparently Henry's birthday. "My girlfriend has Henry on her shoulders and we helped pull the guitar down to him!!!" a commenter writes. "The concert was his 6th birthday present from his mom and dad."

What a memorable birthday -- and gift -- for Henry! A dad to three kiddos himself, Bentley obviously has a soft spot for little ones.

Perhaps there will be more surprises like this on his Riser Tour; Bentley just announced a second leg, kicking off Oct. 2 with Randy Houser and Eric Paslay in tow.
