A 14 year old Wiscasset student is facing drug trafficking charges after police say he was caught with hundreds of pills in his backpack.

Police say the Wiscasset High School student had more than 160 pills, including Oxycontin and Vicodin.

They say the pills were placed in plastic bags and stuffed inside a Pringles can.

According to police, the school was tipped off by the boy’s father, who said his son may have stolen the drugs from a family member.

The student will be arraigned on April 28.
