Angela Luna took to social media to share the amusing story behind her absence from work this morning. It turned out that the weather had played a mischievous hand. Returning from a trip to see her family in St. Louis, she had a layover at LaGuardia Airport in New York City before catching her flight to Bangor. Unfortunately, the flight had to be canceled due to unfavorable weather conditions. Unwavering in her optimism, she skillfully transformed a setback into an opportunity, embracing the chance to fulfill a bucket-list item, venturing to Rockefeller Center to watch another morning news show.

I'm unable to show the clip at the moment, but let me describe what happened. The hosts, Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb were conducting a segment outside the studio, engaging with the audience. It was during this interaction that they had a conversation with Angela. Angela had the opportunity to proudly display her sign and give shoutouts to Bangor, TV5, and, most importantly, her mom.

Hoda even said, “Angela Luna, don’t forget that name.”

In an additional post, Angela revealed that she had admired Hoda since she was a child and often turned to her commencement speech at Virginia Tech in 2008 for inspiration during her earlier days in the news industry. Meeting her in person was a dream come true for Angela, and she couldn't help but gush about the encounter.

Furthermore, grateful for the experience, Angela expressed her sincere gratitude to Morgan Sturdivant, who seamlessly filled in for her back in Bangor.

Delays and disruptions can be incredibly frustrating, especially when it comes to traveling. Yet, Angela’s optimistic spirit and ability to adapt shone through as she transformed an unforeseen setback into an extraordinary experience.

So, set your alarms for tomorrow morning, as TV5 anticipates Luna's triumphant return. With any luck, this time, she'll grace the correct channel.
