Hundreds of people gathered at Oktobeerfest 2015 in Bangor's Pickering Square Saturday for an afternoon of beer, German food and live music.

Nashville recording artist Danika Portz opened the show as the crowd built in the early afternoon. Accompanied by guitarist Ben Hardt, Portz performed her original country music including her new song "My Superhero," and her single "Greatest Show on Earth."

Portland-based North of Nashville was up next, bringing their outlaw brand of country music to the stage. The duo of Jay Basiner (acoustic guitar, lead vocals, harmonica, bass drum, snare drum, tambourine) and Andrew Martelle (fiddle, mandolin, guitar, vocals) also brought the crowd to the dance floor in front of the stage.

The Ghost of Paul Revere, a Portland-based folk band -- Griffin Sherry (guitar, vocals), Max Davis (banjo, vocals), Sean McCarthy (bass, vocals) and Matt Young (harmonica, mandolin) -- closed the show with a two-hour set, keeping the crowd dancing until the final tune.

Thank you to the bands, vendors, sponsors, security, volunteers and most of all the crowds who made Oktobeerfest such a great time!
