Bangor Police are investigating after someone was hit by a vehicle on Ohio Street.

The Injured Person Was On the Ground Before Being Hit

It was around 11:30 Sunday afternoon when the accident happened. Bangor Police Sergeant Jason McAmbley says the individual was laying on the sidewalk/entry lane to Ohio Street Redemption Center when they were run over by a vehicle. No information has been released about why the person was on the ground.

They Were Not Seriously Hurt

The person suffered some broken ribs and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Their name has not been released.

Officials Say the Driver Stopped Immediately

McAmbley says the driver is cooperating with the investigation. No charges have been filed in this case.
