I believe that often times we don't give our kids enough credit in the intelligence department. Kids are pretty savvy these days and can be pretty good judges in reality and fantasy. For example, we work hard to protect them the marketing gurus who, as you know, go after them with their latest toys or gizmos hoping they can convince them to bug the heck out of us to buy it for them. And for obvious reasons those same marketing gurus have created an unrealistic fashion model image which becomes the model of many toy dolls produced. But what we're learning is that maybe it's not what kids want. As it turns out, they want realism!

Nickolay Lamm decided to test some second graders in the reality/fantasy department ,so he created a doll with normal proportions. He then took to the doll to St. Edmunds school in Pennsylvania and presented it to some second graders. Their reactions are surprising. Those reactions just may send toy makers back to the drawing board.
