Two of baseball's final four teams are set after one division series in each league reached its conclusion on Thursday. The two remaining division series have their fifth and deciding games scheduled for Friday. Here's a recap of Thursday's clinching games:

ALDS Game 5: Detroit 6 — Oakland 0

Justin Verlander struck out 11 while pitching a complete-game shutout, and the Detroit Tigers beat the Oakland A's, 6-0, to win their American League Division Series, 3 games to 2. The Tigers were just three outs away from winning the series in Game 4 on Wednesday, but the A's rallied to force Game 5.

On Thursday, Austin Jackson hit a run-scoring double in the third inning and singled in a run in the four-run seventh that gave Detroit more than enough runs to win. A's starter Jarrod Parker went 6 1-3 innings, giving up seven hits, four runs and striking out six batters.

The Tigers will face the winner of the Baltimore Orioles-New York Yankees series in the American League Championship Series beginning on Saturday. The Orioles forced a Game 5 by beating the Yankees, 2-1 in 13 innings, in the Bronx on Thursday.

NLDS Game 5: San Francisco 6 — Cincinnati 4

Buster Posey hit a grand slam and Sergio Romo struck out Scott Rolen to end the game with the tying runs on base, as the San Francisco Giants beat the Cincinnati Reds, 6-4, to win their National League Division Series, 3 games to 2. The Giants had to win all three games at Cincinnati's Great American Ballpark after losing the first two contests of the series at home. San Francisco became the first NL team to comeback from an 0-2 deficit in the best-of-five NLDS.

After Reds' starting pitcher Mat Latos held the San Francisco bats in check for the first four innings, he yielded six runs in the fifth while recording just one out. Ryan Ludwick went 2-for-5 with a homer to lead the Cincinnati offense. Giants' starter Matt Cain gave up six hits and three runs in 6 2-3 innings pitched to get the victory.

The Giants will face the winner of the St. Louis Cardinals-Washington Nationals series in the National League Championship Series beginning on Sunday. The Nationals forced a Game 5 by beating the Cardinals, 2-1, in Washington on Thursday on Jayson Werth's solo home run leading off the bottom of the ninth inning.
