Police have released the identity of a woman killed in a hit and run accident last night in Westbrook and have the driver in custody.

According to Central Maine.com,  Westbrook Police say the accident happened just before 8 p.m Tuesday at the intersection of Route 25 and Stroudwater Street. Witnesses say 51-year-old Sharon Crawford of Westbrook was hit by an SUV that took off after the impact.

The driver of the SUV, 32-year-old Natasha Field of Standish, has been located. She was arrested at about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday. She's charged with aggravated leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident and violation of condition of release. Field is being held at Cumberland County jail, pending her arraignment.

Police closed down the intersection until about 11 p.m.
