Woman Arrested For Driving Man To Jail To Turn Himself In
A Maine woman faces charges after she illegally drove a Florida man to the Franklin County Jail to turn himself in.
What started out as a nice gesture by a Temple woman didn't end as well, when police realized she was driving with a suspended license. WGME-TV says Carrie Masse was driving 55-year-old Robert Stottlemeyer, of Deland, Florida to the Franklin County Jail, so he could turn himself in, when a deputy told her that her license was under suspension.
Masse was released on $100 bail for operating after suspension and failure to pay a reinstatement fee.
Stottlemeyer was held for warrants on charges of violating his conditions of release and two counts of operating under the influence.
