A Maine man is facing multiple charges in connection with robberies at a business and a residential home.

Maine Teen Accused of a Robbery at a Wiscasset Business

Luke Stinson-Freeman, 19, of WIscasset, was taken into custody early Friday morning. He's the suspect in two crimes in Wiscasset, over the course of two days.

Wiscasset police say the first of two incidents began when police got a report of a burglary at the Water Street Kitchen & Bar. A window at the back of the building had been broken out to gain entry, and some liquor and petty cash were stolen.

While that case was being investigated. Police learned of a residential robbery on Wednesday evening.

Maine Teen Faces Charges for an Armed Residential Robbery

Shortly after 7 pm, a male suspect knocked on the door of a Lincoln Street home and asked the woman who answered the door if he could use her phone. When she turned to get her cellphone, the man walked inside, displayed a firearm, and told her it was a robbery.

The woman was able to escape and run to a neighbor's home to call for help.

Maine Man Faces Charges for 2 Robberies in Wiscasset

Luke Stinson-Freeman was taken into custody when the police found evidence of the crimes while conducting a bail check at 226 Old Sheepscot Road in Wiscasset.

He faces the following charges.

Water Street Kitchen & Bar incident: 

  • Burglary
  • Criminal mischief
  • Theft
  • Violation of conditions of release.

Lincoln Street Incident: 

  • Robbery
  • Burglary
  • Unlawful sexual touching
  • Criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon
  • Threatening display of a weapon
  • Violating conditions of release.
