Wind Chill Advisory: Bitter Cold Settles Into Maine Mid-Week
Frigid temps are forecast for all of Maine mid-week, paired with gusty winds.
The National Weather Service is calling for bitter cold Tuesday into Wednesday. Gusty winds will push wind chill values to near 6 below zero in the Bangor and Downeast areas overnight. Many areas north of Baxter State Park are under a Wind Chill Advisory overnight into Wednesday, as temps are expected to dip 20 to 27 below zero.
Forecasters warn of potential isolated power outages.
Thursday, a Nor'easter is expected to closely brush by Maine. About 1 to 3 inches of snow is expected along the coast and outer islands.
