Wicked Muddy Mainer is in July. This will be their 5th year with the popular event. Dan Thornton takes us back to year one:

True story. It was 2017. March 4th. Me and my good friend and creative genius Jesse launched our website and opened registration at noon. We didn't know what we were doing. We expected 1,000 people to be waiting for us to register. Refresh. Refresh. Refresh. Nothing. Becky MacManus finally lifted our spirits with the first registration. 4 people signed up, 2 were related to me. We were scared to death. We had put a lot into this. Nothing was happening. We can't put my liver through what happened that night ever again.

The Wicked Muddy Mainer is a 4.5 mile, 24 Obstacle Course Race in Orrington.  Limber up because you'll leap, jump, crawl and swim...in the mud. This year's date is Saturday July 10th.

Here's more from Dan:

2020 was filled with challenges,  but we were able to adapt and push forward and host our race with lots of changes.      We have so much appreciation for our loyal Muddy Mainers that trusted us to provide a safe and fun day in 2020.   We proved that it could be done.
2021 will still be a different race set up to accommodate CDC guidelines, however we are fortunate enough to be able to keep everyone social distanced, we have amazing friends and family that help with sanitizing efforts, and an incredible group of racers that are respectful and responsible.

And they are almost sold out.   Heats of 100 start at 8am and leave every 15 minutes. These times are already sold out: 8 a.m., 8:30, 8:45, 9:00, 9:15, 9:30.  So as of late yesterday the available times to participate in this hugely successful, fun event are 8:15 a.m. or 9:45 a.m. until Noon. Hurry Hurry as they say.

With the right attitude this could be as much fun as anyone has had in the past 13 months.  Here's the right attitude.

Stacker used data from the 2020 County Health Rankings to rank every state's average life expectancy from lowest to highest. The 2020 County Health Rankings values were calculated using mortality counts from the 2016-2018 National Center for Health Statistics. The U.S. Census 2019 American Community Survey and America's Health Rankings Senior Report 2019 data were also used to provide demographics on the senior population of each state and the state's rank on senior health care, respectively.

Read on to learn the average life expectancy in each state.
