Waterford Woman Arrested After Eight Hour Standoff
A Waterford woman was taken into custody without incident after an eight-hour standoff with police.
The incident began with Oxford County Sheriff's Deputies and State Police Troopers responding to a domestic violence call just before 4:30 Wednesday afternoon. 57-year-old Lyn Drew's husband was originally inside the home, but managed to get out, unharmed. Police set up a perimeter around the Route 35 home, at around 4:30 Wednesday afternoon.
WGME-TV reports the State Police Tactical Team took Drew into custody eight hours later. She was transported to Stephen's Memorial Hospital in Norway for evaluation and was then taken to the Oxford County Jail. Lyn Drew is charged with Criminal Threatening with a Dangerous Weapon.
