WATCH: The Large Stack at Old Bucksport Mill Goes Down

Construction crews took down the large stack at the old Bucksport Mill site Tuesday morning.

For many, it's a sad day, as the stack's removal marks the end of the area's paper mill era. But the method they used to fell the stack is impressive. In this video, posted on Facebook by Rich Rotella, you can see the charges explode at the bottom of the chimney, just before it starts to fall. And then, as it topples, more charges detonate about half-way up the column. Turn up your speakers for the full effect.
