It was just before 3:00 p.m. on Sunday when the Warren Fire Department learned of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Old Augusta Road and Ridge Road in Warren.

An investigation into the circumstances of the crash indicate that a Jeep Compass containing the woman and her daughter, had stopped at the Old Augusta Road stop sign before proceeding through the intersection.

When the Jeep was in the intersection, an Acura MDX became visible on Ridge Road from the south and hit the Jeep, sending it spinning into the trees. The Acura spun around and stopped in the intersection.
