A woman wanted in Virginia for sex crimes against a child has been arrested in Maine.

Merveilles Saidi, 33, has been arrested in Westbrook, Maine, on an outstanding arrest warrant from Virginia.

Westbrook Police had been notified of the warrant by a Virginia sheriff's office, which had received information that Saidi was staying in the Maine city.
Virginia Woman Faces Charges in Maine for Being a Fugitive
When Westbrook officers went to the residence in question, they located Ms. Saidi and arrested her without incident.
Merveilles Saidi is charged in Maine with being a fugitive from justice.

She's charged in Virginia with three felony counts of sodomy against a child.
Saidi was taken to the Cumberland County Jail and will be extradited to Virginia.
