The motel that sits between State and Wilson Streets in Brewer has seen its share of problems, over the years. In 2019, police gathered for a standoff with a man who was brandishing an AK-47 rifle.  Gary Green was convicted of criminal threatening and terrorizing.

In 2012, two people were arrested for knocking on people's doors at the motel and then threatening them with a machete. According to the BDN, Jason Brown and Maria Pounds, who did not live at the motel, were charged with felony burglary and assault.
