View Fall Foilage From a Historic Train from Unity to Belfast
The Belfast and Moosehead Lake historic railroad will kick off its fall foilage tours this Saturday. The train will leave the Unity depot for a tour around scenic Waldo County. Start at 212 Depot Street in Unity, Maine. There are various times and days to ride the open air coach for the leaf peeping tour. Some tours last an hour, some are special extended two hour tours.
Belfast & Moosehead lake Railroad is celebrating over 150 years of railroading. And is a division of Brooks Preservation Society.

There are numerous other events coming up based on the railroad. Pumpkin Spice, Halloween, and of course Christmas events.
If you ever miss the train, or you want to plan a separate event in the area, check out the Passagassawaukeag Rail Trail. Follow the 'Passy' train to downtown Belfast for all that the charming downtown there offers. You can park at a lot on the north end of the trail. Just be cautious before crossing the railroad tracks.
