After asking for your input on what pic to submit to the Orrington Photo Contest, Cindy Campbell ended up taking one of the top three prizes.

Orrington's Old Home Week is underway, with activities planned all week, including a community photo contest. Last week, I asked for your input about which photo I should enter in this year's competition, and you gave me some great input. Thank you so much for that. I entered three photos, two of which were among the ones in my last post.

But the winning photo was one I snapped after that. A butterfly decided to visit my flowers, and I grabbed my camera. The result was 'Butterfly Blossoms.' The judges apparently liked it enough to give me third place, which means I won a cash prize, and will have my photo published in the 2020 Orrington town calendars, that will be sold later this year. You can view all the submitted photos in the Orrington Public Library (located in Center Drive School) during Old Home Week.

So if you're traveling through Orrington and you see someone standing on the side of the road, looking through a red camera, it's probably me. After all, it's time to start working on pictures for next year.
