Two Motorcyclists Killed Thursday In Separate Crashes

Two men died Thursday as a result of motorcycle accidents in Wiscasset and Lewiston.

Wiscasset Police say the accident happened on Route 1, near Norm's Used Cars. A pickup driven by 48-year-old Dylan Young of Wiscasset collided with a motorcycle, driven by 62-year-old George Christopher of Alna. Christopher died at the scene. The accident remains under investigation

In Lewiston, a rider on North Temple Street lost control of his bike and crashed at around 6:00 Thursday afternoon. The rider and his Honda sportbike came to rest against a house, near the corner of North Temple Street and Orchard Circle. Several neighbors told the Sun Journal that the rider had been seen driving at a high rate of speed just before the accident.

The man's name has not been released.
