Two people have been charged with trafficking in drugs following the execution of a search warrant in Lubec.

The arrests were the result of a joint investigation between the Washington County Sheriff's Office and the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency. Officials arrived at a residence located at 50 Dixie Road in Lubec on the evening of October 12th. When officials from the MDEA's Downeast Task Force, Washington County Deputies, Maine State Troopers, and Pleasant Point Police Officers entered the home they found eight people inside. A woman, later identified as Jennifer Wallace, fled out the back door and was immediately apprehended with a bag of drugs. As a result of the warrant, investigators seized approximately 50 grams of heroin, 40 grams of powdered cocaine, 8 grams of crack cocaine, and $4,750 in suspected drug proceeds. Street value of the drugs seized is approximately $15,000.
