2020 rolls on. And by now we all know what that means. Almost every single event has been altered to comply with Covid-19 safety measures. Lots of events have been totally cancelled, so I guess the half full attitude is if an event can proceed, that's a good thing.

The Lights of Life holiday tree at the Lafayette Family Cancer Institute in Brewer will be illuminated to honor and remember friends, family members, caregivers and others who have been affected by cancer. The event will take place Thursday December 3rd.

However, this being 2020, there will not be an event where the public are gathered for the ceremony. Instead, a video of the 20th annual tree lighting will be posted to Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center's Facebook page at 5:30 p.m. next Thursday.

The public is invited to purchase lights to recognize special people in their lives. Each light purchased is part of the lighting of the tree, and supports the care provided  the Cancer Care team. Lights begin at $10. And range in price up to $500.  Every dollar raised stays local. Visit Northern Light Health's website for info.
