Not a happy day in the land of toys.

Yesterday, Toys "R" Us announced plans to close 182 stores across the country as the company deals with bankruptcy.  Unfortunately, one of those stores is the one located at 6 Bangor Mall Boulevard, according to a list published at USAToday.com.

The only ray of hope that may be for the Bangor store is that some stores on the list may not be closed if the company is able to "negotiate more favorable lease terms," according to the article.

The 182 stores amount to about 20 percent of all Toys "R" Us brick-and-mortar locations.

Along with the store in Bangor, Toys "R" Us will also close its Portland store at 200 Running Hill Road.
