Three people suffered minor injuries in a crash on I-95 in Smyrna Monday night.

Owen Botting of Island Falls, who was operating a 2009 Chevrolet 4-door sedan, lost control of the vehicle while traveling southbound just after 9:30 p.m., Maine State Police said Tuesday morning.

Police said Botting was driving too fast for the slippery road conditions, and "poor tire conditions also contributed to the crash."

Botting and two passengers in the vehicle were taken to Houlton Regional Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
