Third Suspect Arrested For Millinocket Murder
The final of three suspects in a Millinocket home invasion killing was arrested in Alabama and will be returned to Maine to face charges.
Tony Locklear was taken into custody on Friday in the city of Birmingham. Once extradition proceedings are completed, he will join his daughter, 21-year-old Alexis Locklear, and her boyfriend, 38-year-old Christopher Murray of North Carolina, as they await trial for the death of Wayne LaPierre of Millinocket.
LaPierre and his wife were both shot during a home invasion in December. While Diem LaPierre survived her injuries, Wayne LaPierre passed away in a Bangor hospital.
Murray and Tony Locklear are charged with murder, robbery, and elevated aggravated assault. Alexis Locklear faces murder and robbery charges.
