A new garage opened in Brewer this week.

Walker's Garage is now accepting appointments, by phone, Facebook or through their website, to do everything from brake and collision repair to maintenance and accessory installation.

It's been long-time Brewer resident Bill Walker's dream, for several years now, to open his own garage.

"I've wanted to do this for over 15 years. My plan was to go to college to become a game warden, but I realized I didn't want to spend so much time in school. I decided to go to UTC for bodywork. I ended up really liking it and decided this was awesome!"

With moe than 20 years of experience working on vehicles, Walker has one motto, according to his website:

"Bill always says, 'I fix it like my kids are in it' - this is our foundation and we will not deliver anything less."

According to the Walker Garage Facebook Page,

"I am a one-man show for now, I try my best to answer the calls as they come in but I may be in the middle of a job where I can't get to the phone.. so if you call and get the voicemail for Walker's Garage please leave your name, number and a brief message and I will get back to you!"

Walker says what makes his garage a little different is that he can do a wide range of things right one site, so folks don't have to go to different places for different services.

"I do bodywork and mechanical. So I do it all in-house. If it has to do with cars, I can do it. "

The garage is located at 12 State Street, Suite B, right in Brewer. The entrance is through the office.

Stroll Through These Photos Of The Brewer Riverwalk

The 1.1mile-long Brewer Riverwalk gives a vantage point to all three bridges that cross between Brewer and Bangor and the Bangor Waterfront. There's plenty of park benches along the way to sit and take in the sights.
