‘The Walking Dead’ Season 5 First Look: Rick Grimes Goes Cage-Free

This past season of 'The Walking Dead' left us on the most cliff-hangery finale yet with the ravenous "A," but we mustn't wait until Comic-Con 2014 for a first look at the fifth season, right? Hooray! Check out Andrew Lincoln's Rick Grimes looking ready to give the people of Terminus what-for in the first official photo from 'The Walking Dead' season 5!

Granted, there isn't very much to see beyond the knowledge that Andrew Lincoln will once again portray Rick Grimes and carry his usual gruff determination about it. What's interesting, however, is that Rick seems to be emerging from the "A" car in which we last saw the survivors locked at the behest of Terminus leader Gareth, but has he found a means of escape or is Rick being led out to slaughter?

We know of 'The Walking Dead' season 5 that existing stars Christian Serratos (Rosita), Alanna Masterson (Tara) and Andrew J. West (Gareth) have all been upgraded to series regulars, while 'The Wire' vet Seth Gilliam also joined in the regular mysterious role of "Michael Todd," speculated to be a cover for comic character Father Gabriel Stokes. The fifth season of AMC's monster-drama is expected to pick up immediately after the events of season 4 finale "A," and eventually divulge the fates of missing characters Beth, Carol, Tyreese and Judith.
