The 2023 version of the ice disk isn't shimmering in her full glory, but as Tranchemontagne details in this Facebook post, it has formed and it is spinning. It's been a strange winter in Maine and conditions hadn't been ripe for the ice disk to return until just recently. And just like another Fast and the Furious sequel, it's probably not going to be good as the original but it's there if you want to see it.

It's clear the Presumpscot River in Westbrook is prime for ice disks to form and sustain. Why and how an ice disk forms will hurt most people's brains but there are some bodies of water that are perfect for the natural phenomenon to come to life.
