The last of six Farmington firefighters, injured in a massive explosion last month, is heading home from the hospital.

Captain Scott Baxter has been recovering at a rehabilitation hospital in Portland, since the explosion on September 16th that claimed the life of Captain Michael Bell. The other five firefighters who were injured in the blast have already gone home. Maintenance man, Larry Lord, who evacuated employees from the LEAP Inc. building before the explosion, remains in serious condition in a Boston hospital.

A procession is planned to welcome Captain Baxter back home. Farmington Fire-Rescue has posted on its Facebook page that any departments wishing to join in the procession should meet at the staging area, at the New Sharon/Rome town line at 12:30 today.
