A 16-year-old had his first court appearance today in relation to the death of a Troy man. The teen's identity was concealed by police until his court appearance today when it was revealed that the victim was the teen's father.

WABI-TV reports Colby Hodgdon is charged with murder for the death of his father. 49-year-old Steven Hodgdon was found unresponsive on March 7th after someone called police to the home the father and son shared in Troy. The State Medical Examiner's office determined that Hodgdon died from a stab wound to the chest.

Colby Hodgdon is charged with murder. He made his initial court appearance today and will be held in jail until his case can be reviewed by a juvenile corrections consultant.
