A teenager has been charged with murder in connection with the death of a Bowdoinham woman in her home.

The name of the young man has not been released, because he's a juvenile. The Portland Press Herald reports he lives in Bowdoinham and was arrested on Wednesday as he was leaving Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick, where he had been admitted on Monday, the same day Beulah 'Marie' Sylvester was found unresponsive in her Bowdoinham home.

Sagadahoc County Sheriff's Deputies had gone to the house in response to a call that she had suffered a heart attack. Police say she was badly injured and passed away sometime later at Maine Medical Center. So far, officials have not released her cause of death.

The teen was taken to Long Creek Youth Development Center in South Portland. He's due to make his first court appearance on Friday at the West Bath Court and police say his name may be released at that time.

We'll update this story as more details become available.
