Kind of a bummer, but it's a "no-go" in 2024 For 24 years now, the Thomas Hill Standpipe has put on tours, with spectacular views from the top of this iconic landmark, but due to overdue repairs and maitnenance on the facilty, the Bangor Water District has decided to shut them down for the year...

Next week, the Bangor Water District will be flushing out lines to remove sediment that may have built up in the water delivery system through the last few years.

This is a must for anyone who has a Stephen King, or Bangor area bucket list! Every time the Bangor Water District hosts their tours of the iconic Thomas Hill Standpipe in Bangor, hundreds of people turn out to get a glimpse of one the coolest visuals in town...

While Bangor proudly champions the label, we, of course, are not the only ones who tout the nickname with pride.

As the final tour of 2023 concludes, we look forward to the arrival of Spring 2024.
