Three teenagers from Penobscot and Piscataquis County received honors from state officials this week for their act of bravery that saved lives earlier this month.
Maine State Police Computer Crimes Unit executed two warrants on Tuesday, in Penobscot and Hancock Counties. As a result, one man was arrested and charged with sex crimes.
Several hundred were then narrowed down and ultimately one teacher per county was chosen by a panel of fellow educators, community members, business leaders, and principals.
