Each year, it feels like basic needs become more and more expensive across the country, and living in Maine is no exception.

You’ve probably heard the term “affordable housing”, let’s break down what that means here in Maine — because finding a place to live here that doesn’t drain your wallet can be a challenge in the current times.

This makes zero sense.

Not only can you go to the store to get gently used home furnishings, but you can also send your gently used ones to them to resell.

A recent study done by 24/7 Wall St shows that Maine remains the least expensive state to reside in throughout New England.

The project, called Northbrook Apartment Homes will occupy much of the space along 870 Broadway and has been in the works for several years now.

Maine may be called ‘Vacationland’; however, it seems that people are more interested in sticking around now. ‘Staycationland’ doesn’t really have the same ring, though.

Folks like to say, 'New Year, new me,' well, Maine is saying, 'New Year, new minimum wage.'

We love this big beautiful state, but there's always room for improvement.
