Suspect Identified In Violent Rochester Assault

Police say they have identified a suspect after a woman was violently attacked last week outside a Planet Fitness in Rochester, New Hampshire.

WMUR in Manchester, NH reported that police on Friday said tips from the public have led them to a "strong suspect."

The tips came in after police released surveillance of the June 12 attack.

Police said the man approached the woman at about 10 p.m. and punched her 39 times.

Investigators believe the 18-year-old victim was specifically targeted.

Police say an arrest may not come until next week.
