The Penobscot County Sheriff's Office says the suspect is Mackenzie Sibley, 40, who is listed as a transient.

But before the dog arrived, Sibley ran out the back door of the residence and was pursued by authorities into the woods.

Nearby residents were warned that Sibley was on the loose and K9 Memphis began tracking the suspect.

Deputies checked trail camera footage from citizens in the area, a few hours into the search, and pinpointed Sibley's last known location.

K9 Memphis was deployed and led deputies right to Sibley, through some very thick wooded terrain. He was arrested on the outstanding probation revocation warrant and a new criminal charge of refusing to submit to arrest.

No one was hurt in the incident.
