State Police Investigate Death Of Belmont Man

State Police are investigating the death of a Belmont man whose body was found outside a Waldo home.

Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland says the body of Edwin Littlefield is currently under investigation. The 43-year-old was found outside a home on Kendall Corner Road.

Waldo County Sheriff's Deputies were called to the scene Wednesday evening following a 911 call. Detectives conducted interviews with others who were at the house last night. Littlefield's body was taken to the State Medical Examiner's Office in Augusta for an autopsy to determine cause of death.
